We have manufactured runway snowploughs for many years. These are available with 16’ (4,880 mm) steel or polymer mouldboard with the option to fit a 2 ft (610 mm extension onto each end giving a total width of 20 ft (6,100 mm), mounted onto a reinforced steel skeleton complete with polyeurethane wearing edges (in 2ft/ 610mm sections), heavy duty MOT castors, yokes, frame, hydraulic lift and angling, electro hydraulic power pack with joystick control and vehicle mounting brackets.

In consultation with several customers we recently developed and launched our new SnoPro PR Polymer faced snowplough. This can use the same mounting yokes, wearing edges, rams etc as our previous ploughs which we have supplied to all of the major airports in the UK including including Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh , Prestwick, Birmingham, Leeds Bradford, Bristol, Cardiff, Manchester, Newcastle, Humberside as well as the USAF and British MOD, so this will simplify the stocking of spare parts and maintenance. The advantage of the SnoPro PR is that it has a great curve than the previous snowploughs and it is possible to fit 2 x 610mm blade extensions (one on either end) to make it a 6.1m plough and we can also fit hydraulically operated deflector tops (over the central 4.8m section only) to help regulate how the snowplough is ‘casting’ the snow.

Our Bunce Runway Snowploughs are designed to offset slightly when angled so they clear the same path as the Towed High speed Runway Snow Sweepers which are often used toghether with our units.
