The sweeper can be fitted to most agricultural type tractors or other vehicles such Unimogs and forklifts. It is normally powered directly from the hydraulics of the carrying vehicle. (If insufficient pressure and flow available then an optional P.T.O. driven hydraulic power pack can be mounted on the rear three point linkage). The brush is raised and lowered by a hydraulic ram powered by the auxiliary services on the prime mover. It can be manually angled to the left or right, but hydraulic, power, angling is available. For normal operation the tractor must be fitted with at least one single and one double acting hydraulic spool. To drive the brush at least 40 to 50 litres per minute at 180 bar is required to give the desired nominal speed of 160 rpm at the brush core. The sweeper is fitted onto the front of the vehicle using the same mounting frame and yokes etc., as we use for our snowploughs. It is also possible to fit the brush onto front-end loaders in place of the bucket. The brush is fitted with adjustable solid rubber castors to cater for road undulations and brush wear. This rotary broom is ideal for general sweeping and can also be used to clear shallow virgin snow in the winter
