Epoke offer a number of different control box options which their bulk spreaders.

EpoSet Control box - This is a very simple control box which is only offered on the ‘Igloo S2300’ range and it allows the operator to turn the spreader on and off, change the spread width and turn the beacon on and off from the cab.

EpoBasic Control Box - This is the standard control box used in all the Bunce Epoke bulk Salt spreaders (Except the ‘Igloo’ S2300) ,It is an in cab, user friendly control box with adjustment of the spread width (from 2 - 12m in 1m steps), spreading density (from 5-40g/m² in 5g/m² steps), blast facility on/off, remote control adjustment of spread symmetry (if fitted), beacon on/off (if fitted), spreading on/off, moistening (pre-wetting) on/off (if fitted), working light on/off, warning lights for the salt sensor (if fitted) and hopper empty sensors (if fitted). The control box has LED display to help the driver see the width and spread rate settings in all levels of ambient lighting. The units powered by auxiliary engines can be started and stopped from the control box. The connection of the control box to the spreader can be made via optional double multi-pin plugs fitted on the back of the cab of the vehicle.

EpoMaster III Control box - This is an optional upgrade from the EpoBasic and is an in cab, user friendly control box, which is also capable of data logging, with adjustment of the spread width from 2-12m in 1m steps, spreading rate from 5-40g/m² in 5g/m² steps, blast facility on/off, remote control adjustment of spread symmetry (if fitted), beacon on/off (if fitted), spreading on/off, moistening (pre-wetting) on/off (if fitted), working light on/off, and warning lights for the salt sensor(if fitted) and hopper empty sensors (if fitted.) The control box is 'back lit' with automatic adjustment of the light intensity to help the driver see the settings in all levels of ambient lighting. The control box can, if desired, be quickly and easily programmed by the management to reduce the number of options available to the driver (e.g reduce the width options to just 3 different lane settings). This makes the operation easier for the driver and prevents misuse. The programmable functions of the control box are password protected to prevent tampering with the system. The units powered by auxiliary engines can be started and stopped from the control box. The connection of the control box to the spreader can be made via optional double multi-pin plugs fitted on the back of the cab of the vehicle. Data which can be recorded includes date, time, driver, vehicle, route, air temperature (if sensor fitted), material being spread, settings (spreader on/off, width, spread rate and symmetry etc.,) moistening, distance covered, total salt and liquid usage and the co-ordinates of each stage (if the GPS option is chosen). The control box is fitted with an RS232 port which enables connection to third party data logging and GPS systems e.g. Masternaught or Exactrak These can also be supplied with ‘Card reader slots’ to enable data to be logged onto specially formatted PC cards. Please note the EpoMster control box with the card slots is required if you wish to use EpoSat ‘hands free GPS controlled spreading option.

EpoMaster IV Control box - This is an optional upgrade from the EpoBasic and has identical functionality as the EpoMaster III but it is wirelessly controlled so there are no cable connections between the control box and the spreader
